We want you to know a change is coming to your personal checking account Overdraft Protection service! Watch the video
An important change is coming to your Phelps County Bank checking account that will impact your Overdraft Protection service.
Due to a recent regulatory change, we can no longer automatically provide Overdraft Protection service for ATM transactions and everyday debit card purchases on your personal checking account. Effective August 15, 2010*, you MUST specifically ask for this service to be continued on your account for those types of transactions.
Overdraft Protection has always been included automatically on your account to assure you peace of mind in case of an emergency. For many of our Overdraft Protection account holders, this is a valued safety net offering flexibility and protection from the potential embarrassment of insufficient funds and the associated merchant fees.
More information on this change and what you need to do to keep this valuable safety net will be coming from us soon. Please make sure you OPEN all of your mail from Phelps County Bank and respond to us.

* The effective date of the change is August 15, 2010 for accounts opened before July 1, 2010. For accounts opened on or after July 1, 2010 the effective date of the change is July 1, 2010.
