Investment/Savings Accounts

Money Market Checking

This popular account provides you with both the convenience of limited check writing and the bonus of market rates of interest. The interest rate is subject to change on a weekly basis. There is no service charge on any account, which has a balance of at least $750 at all times during the month. If the balance drops below this amount, the monthly service charge is $5.00. This account allows six transactions per month, three of which can be checks to others. Interest is calculated on the daily balance and posted to the account monthly. There is no penalty for withdrawal.

Treasury Money Market Account

With a minimum deposit of $10,000.00 PCB offers the Treasury Money Market Account. This account provides the advantage of higher earnings while keeping funds liquid. Rates are subject to change weekly.

Statement Savings Account

You can start your savings account with as little as $50 ($25 for minors under the age of 18). Interest is compounded monthly. There is no service charge for a savings account if you maintain a balance of at least $50. A fee of $3.00 is charged in any month where the balance drops below $50. There is no service charge on the active account of a minor (under age 18). You may make 6 withdrawals from your savings account per month. Additional withdrawals will be service charged at $1.00 each. Statements on your savings account are mailed quarterly, but you may request an activity statement at any time, at no additional charge.

Certificates of Deposit

PCB offers a wide variety of short term and long term certificates of deposit designed to meet individual needs. You may choose from certificates ranging from 3 months to 5 years. You can start a savings plan with a Certificate of Deposit for as little as $1000. Rates for various deposits are determined weekly and the rate in force when you invest in a certificate is guaranteed for the length of the deposit. A Customer Service Representative will be happy to provide you with the most current rates and yields being paid on these investments.

Interest on Certificates of Deposit may be paid: by adding the interest back to the certificate quarterly, semi-annually, annually, or at maturity; receiving your interest by check mailed to your residence; or having it deposited to your checking or savings account. Interest paid by check or by deposit to another account may be requested on a quarterly, semi-annual, or annual basis. On any Certificate of Deposit of $25,000 or more, interest is available monthly by check or deposit to another account. Penalties are assessed on funds withdrawn from Certificates of Deposit before maturity.

At PCB we offer Series EE and I government bonds for purchase as an individual investment or as a gift. You can also purchase Savings Bonds direct at http://www.treasurydirect.gov/.
